Kindness from an asshole

Within the first two weeks of my job I'd cried twice. Both times it was because Terry said something thoughtless when I was overwhelmed. Today Annie told me he brought my name up over lunch. He asked why I was single. He thinks I'm such a nice girl and cute, why would I be single?

Apparently being gay blinds him to whatever it is that's scaring all the other men off.
